Targets for clearing

Targets for clearing are just as important as the tech we employ.

Often we may be targeting certain problematic emotions, beliefs, and physical sensations. There are far more targets than what I just mentioned. And some of these missing targets may have massive amounts of energy and beliefs bound up in them. Large Identities. Personality Clusters. State dependent identities. Emptyness and hard and soft traumas to name a few.

Since I sure you're all aware of problematic emotions and beliefs, I'm going to offer a brief list of some of the other targets that you may wish to clear or transform. Here goes:

Emptyness: Emptyness or pit like feelings in the body are areas you may experience inside yourself. These deficits (or so they seem)may stem from abandonment, loneliness, and lost love. To locate emptyness, you can find it by scanning your body or tracking down a pit like feeling inside yourself. (On rare occasions emptyness may be outside your body in dissociated form). Once you locate any emptyness, allow yourself to stay with it and feel. Emptyness maybe enetered by your awareness and in doing so, you will begin to initiate a profound shift in both feeling and perception. Peacefulness, wholeness, love, and acceptance can be found within emptyness. Feeling always contain their opposites--but often we don't go down that far. Folks who've experienced Core States or some of the Emoclear Processes know what I'm writing about here. Even just shifting back and forth from the outside to the inside of emptyness can often clear it. Emptyness can be a primary target.

Hard Traumas: These sorts of massive emotional scars may come from accidents, wars, rape, love loss, sudden deaths of people important to us, assaults, and severe injury. These are primary targets because of their ongoing impact on our perceptions and feelings.

Soft Traumas: These are the smaller traumas resulting from a steady emotional pounding or deprivation. Examples are: Numerous love losses, school failures, multiple embarrassing situations, steady putdowns by important others.

Personality Clusters: These are major clusters of beliefs around a single topic. These clusters of beliefs are much like schemas and can powerfully run us from an identity position. Here are a bunch:

Abandonment/lack of support: Here we have beliefs that important others in our lives will fail to supply us with emotional support and connection because we believe they will leave us, be unstable, or pass away.

Emotional Deprivation: We sense others will not provide us with attention, affection, empathy, and understanding.

Abuse/Bad expectations about treatment: Here we believe others will abuse us, cheat us, humiliate us, hurt us, or rip us off.

Inferiority/shame: We feel defective, inferior, no good, and undesirable and also are sensitive to criticism and rejection.

Alienation: We feel different and isolated from others.

Failure: We believe we'll flop at everything we'll do because we are dull, inept, unskilled or untalented.

Vulnerable: We picture coming doom or catastrophe. We fear going insane, getting diseases, having heart attacks, criminal assaults, crashes, and natural disasters.

Fusing: We have a sense of being overly involved or emotionally fused with important others. We can't be happy or survive without the close support of another.

Overly Pleasing: We believe we must surrender control to others because we fear abandonment, anger, or revenge. We may suppress large chunks of ourselves to be accomodating, yet we may feel trapped at the same time.

Sacrifice: We believe we give up our own needs for the needs of others. We do this to avoid feeling selfish or creating pains for others. This leads to resentment.

Emotionally Inhibited: We suppress our feelings and impulses and this leads to us appearing stiff and lacking in emotion.

Perfectionism: Here we must meet super standards of performance. In seeking perfection, we feel under pressure and are extremely critical of our selves and others. This leads to over attention to detail, having rigid rules, and being preoccupied with time constraints. Further this biggie blocks us from enjoying the rewards of our efforts.

Punitiveness: Here we believe others should be severely punished for their errors and misdeeds. This leads to being angry, impatient, and intolerant with self and others who fail to meet our standards.

Further Personality Clusters:

Negativity: This cluster provides us with a sense of pessimism and a focus on life's negative aspects. Negativity filters out the positive or what might work and instead notices what could go wrong. Folks suffering from negativity tend toward complaining, indecision, worry, and the failure to undertake new directions. In the tech world we call this stuff secondaries.

Approvalitis: Here our beliefs focus on getting approval, attention, and recognition. Here are sense of self-acceptance and esteem depends on what we believe others think. Acceptance, achievement, admiration, approval, attention, money, and status weight heavy here. Fear of rejection is very strong here.

Over Deservingness: We believe we're superior to others and are entitled to special priviledges. We believe we should be able to do or to get whatever we want. We have elevated status--among the famous, successful, and wealthy. Others should wit for their crumbs.

Poor Discipline: We produce beliefs leading to insufficient self- control and are frequently blocked from completing goals.

Undesirable: We feel unwanted due to physical appearance or lack of social skills.

Lonely: We feel alone, empty, and disconnected from important others.

Masochist: This person believes they must feel pain to get love and feel in control.

Oppositional: We believe we must oppose people and ideas or we will face anxiety or uncertainty.

Addict: We believe we need to fill our emptyness with drugs, food, sex, intellectual play, study, or work.

Observer: This person feels nothing and avoids contact with others who would lead to feeling. This person generally thinks feelings, instead of feeling them.

Controller: Feeling being vulnerable, this person direly needs to control others. Controllers believe their feelings are the result of external circumstances or other people's actions.

Personality clusters are derived from schemas, enneagram identities, and observation. A personality cluster often may have from 10 to 25 beliefs involved. The feeling elements of these beliefs may be cleared individually or the whole identity may be cleared at once with Emoclear, Sedona, or Core Trans or other such processes.

Back to targets in general:

Negative Self-Images: These are felt sense we have about ourselves in various situations.

Painful Memories: Any memory can be cleared in its movie form from start to finish.

Even Positive memories: These can be cleared and can produce deeper resources and essence.

What you avoid or resist: Anything you avoid can be cleared. Experience and feel what you resist.

Pains derived from others: You may get these from over empathizing with others. Children and young adults do this quite often.

Missing chunks of yourself: These chunks may be outside you in the form of dissociations or exteriorations. They often come from traumas or doing strong hallucinogens. Feel them back into your body before you clear them.

Obsessions/compulsions: You'll have better luck clearing these targets after you target the anxiety driving these thoughts and actions.

Death: A really good focus for clearing. Fears of death may lead in many directions and have multiple aspects.

Fantasies/past lives/dreams: These are good targets whether you believe in some of them or not. They may contain much emotional pain. Run them like movies when you clear them.

Metaphors: Create metaphors or visual symbols that capture emotionally laden stories in your life. Clear the metaphor as a visual symbol. You can create metaphors and symbols of such items as kundalini experience, religious experience, nothingness, beingness, enlightenment, love, war, disease, time, or anything you find compelling. Clear it and see what happens.

Suffocation/Loss of control: These are good clearing targets. Imagine or feel either one and clear it.

Archetypes: If you are familiar with these, they make good targets.

Your tech: You can feel your tech and clear that and see what happens.

Imperturbability: Lesters fave rave state--clear that and see what happens.

There's tons more--have fun and growth with these!

Take care, Steve Mensing
